Authenticity of Paul's Letters
Proven through the Old Testament Prophecies
Proven through the Old Testament Prophecies
Beloved, today Christianity is facing some unusual attack as many claims that Apostle Paul's writings are not from God, and wanted to remove his writings from the Bible, and we can see many articles and videos published with below titles.
"Bible Contains Fake Letters from Paul", "Paul is a False Apostle", "The False Teachings of The Apostle Paul", etc.
When religious leaders approached John the Baptist about his authenticity, he immediately responded with his Old Testament prophecy reference - He said, I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said - John 1:23
The prophecy that are written 500 years before the birth of John the Baptist made a full stop to all those speculations - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God - Isaiah 40:3
Does Apostle Paul has similar authenticity from Old Testament?
When Jesus Christ was crucified, only handful of followers knew that Jesus Christ is God and witnessed about his resurrection, but many tried to wipe out the Christianity from the face of the earth, but sovereign God raised people like Peter, Paul and put the strong foundation.
And many agreed that Apostle Paul played major role in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, this is not the statement of modern day people, we can see similar critics in Bible itself - For we have found this man a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes (Leader of Christians) - Acts 24:5
So we have a strong evidence that God used Apostle Paul as an instrumental for establishing his kingdom, If Apostle Paul was given such a great responsibility, there should be a prophecy about him in the Old Testament.
Why does Paul had to mention his tribe name?
When none of the disciples spoke about their tribe, God allowed Apostle Paul to mention his tribe name, though Apostle Paul counted everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, why does Apostle Paul had to mention his tribe name as Benjamin?
I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. - Romans 11:1
circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to righteousness under the law, blameless. But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ- Philippians 3:5-7
Prophecy in Psalms
Capernaum was the central location of Jesus Christ Ministry - And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali - Matthew 4:13
So, we can understand that most of the disciples and follower are from the tribe of Zebulun and Naphtali, But prophecy tells that the lead position is reserved for tribe Benjamin - Praise God in the great congregation; praise the Lord in the assembly of Israel. There is the little tribe of Benjamin, leading them, there the great throng of Judah’s princes, and there the princes of Zebulun and of Naphtali - Psalm 68:26-27
Prophecy in Genesis
Bible also confirms that Benjamin will be identified as a persecutor, and then he will become a useful vessel - Then they journeyed from Bethel. When they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel went into labor, and she had hard labor. And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for you have another son.” And as her soul was departing for she was dying, she called his name Ben-oni [son of my grief]; but his father called him Benjamin [son of the right hand]. So Rachel died, and she was buried on the way to Ephrath that is, Bethlehem - Genesis 35:16-19
And when the children of Israel were seated for the meal before his brother Joseph, they were seated by their birth order, but Benjamin received the portion five times as much as of others, which confirms the Spiritual blessing reserved for little Benjamin - And they sat before him, the firstborn according to his birthright and the youngest according to his youth. And the men looked at one another in amazement. Portions were taken to them from Joseph's table, but Benjamin's portion was five times as much as any of theirs. And they drank and were merry with him - Genesis 43:33-34
To each and all of them he gave a change of clothes, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five changes of clothes - Genesis 45:22
Prophecy in the Book of Samuel
Then there was a wonderful promise given to King Saul, but he never understood the promise and thought all the promise will fulfill in his life, will see the meaning of this prophecy in the last section - When you depart from me today, you will meet two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah, and they will say to you, ‘The donkeys that you went to seek are found, and now your father has ceased to care about the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, What shall I do about my son? - 1 Samuel 10:2
Then you shall go on from there farther and come to the oak of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine. And they will greet you and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall accept from their hand - 1 Samuel 10:3-4
After that you shall come to Gibeath-elohim, where there is a garrison of the Philistines. And there, as soon as you come to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying. Then the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man - 1 Samuel 10:5-6
Why does Samuel anointed Saul from the tribe of Benjamin?
Bible has the wonderful prophecy that Messiah would come from the tribe of Judah - The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people - Genesis 49:10
Yet Judah prevailed over his brothers, and from him came a ruler, although the birthright was Joseph’s - 1 Chronicles 5:2
Then what was the actual purpose God has anointed Saul from the tribe of Benjamin? - Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me - 1 Samuel 9:15-16a
Anointing Instruction
The priesthood anointing has two major ceremonials.
Oil anointing: You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him - Exodus 29:7
Meal with shoulder portion: And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings - Leviticus 7:32
And this anointing comes with great promise of generational blessing - unto thee have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever - Numbers 18:8b
Moses Anointing Aaron
Aaron was the first person who received such an anointing to be a high priest, and he was consecrated with both of these promised ceremonials.
Oil anointing: And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him to consecrate him - Leviticus 8:12
Meal with shoulder portion: And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the Lord, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder - Leviticus 8:26
Generational blessing: The people of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried. And his son Eleazar ministered as priest in his place - Deuteronomy 10:6
Anointing Instruction after Aaron's Death
After Aaron's death, Again God spoke to Moses about the next consecration, so it's very clear that one more person should be identified for highly favored priesthood work - And this shall be the priests' due from the people, from those offering a sacrifice, whether an ox or a sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder and the two cheeks and the stomach. The firstfruits of your grain, of your wine and of your oil, and the first fleece of your sheep, you shall give him. For the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons for all time - Deuteronomy 18:3-5
Samuel Anointing Saul
But the identification happened after long time by prophet Samuel when he offered the shoulder portion to Saul from the tribe of Benjamin, and anointed him with Vail of Oil, And these are priesthood consecration ceremonials comes along with generational blessing, and it's hard to believe Saul and his sons had received such a priesthood ministry calling.
Meal with shoulder portion: And Samuel said unto the cook, Bring the portion which I gave thee, of which I said unto thee, Set it by thee. And the cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day - 1 Samuel 9:23-24
Oil anointing: Then Samuel took a Vial of Oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? - 1 Samuel 10:1
Fulfillment of Aaron's Anointing
With the great purpose God called Aaron and his sons for the priesthood ministry, and this unique ministry extended till the time of Jesus Christ. John the Baptist who Baptized Lord Jesus Christ, and the High Priests Annas and Caiaphas who handed over Jesus Christ to be crucified all are from Aaron family.
But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all. Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.” He did not say this of his own accord, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation - John 11:49-51
So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound him. First they led him to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people - John 18:12-14
And we often compare Saul with David, But according to consecration ceremonials Saul can be compared with Aaron, but not with David.
Aaron's High Priest Anointing vs Saul's Captain Anointing
TRIBE
Aaron from tribe Levi: Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart - Exodus 4:14
Saul from tribe Benjamin: Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart - Exodus 4:14
MOSES BLESSING ORDER
While blessing Moses found the greater purpose in Benjamin and he kept him next to Levi - And of Levi he said: Let Your Thummim and Your Urim be with Your holy one, Whom You tested at Massah, And with whom You contended at the waters of Meribah, Who says of his father and mother, ‘I have not seen them’; Nor did he acknowledge his brothers, Or know his own children; For they have observed Your word And kept Your covenant. They shall teach Jacob Your judgments, And Israel Your law. They shall put incense before You, And a whole burnt sacrifice on Your altar. Bless his substance, Lord, And accept the work of his hands; Strike the loins of those who rise against him, And of those who hate him, that they rise not again. Of Benjamin he said: The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him, Who shelters him all the day long; And he shall dwell between His shoulders - Deuteronomy 33:8-12
When the children of Israel were seated for the meal before Joseph, they were seated by their birth order, so Moses very much aware of their birth order, so changes in the blessing order is not an accident, but with the great purpose - The men had been seated before him in the order of their ages, from the firstborn to the youngest; and they looked at each other in astonishment. When portions were served to them from Joseph’s table, Benjamin’s portion was five times as much as anyone else’s. So they feasted and drank freely with him. - Genesis 43:33-34
DUTY
Aaron was anointed to serve as a High Priest, and the primary work is to offer Lord's portion in the Altar: Then Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering, which is on the wood on the fire; it is a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord - Leviticus 3:5
Saul was anointed to be a Captain over Lord's Inheritance, but he must wait until the offering taken place to start his work: Then go down before me to Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do - 1 Samuel 10:8
TIMELINE
Received oil anointing first and then received the special portion from the sacrifice, which tells that the High Priest work completes with Christ Crucifixion.
Received the special portion from the sacrifice first and then received oil anointing, which tells that the Caption's work starts after the Christ Crucifixion.
CENSUS
Aaron's tribe Levi were not included in the census: The Lord had said to Moses: You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites - Numbers 1:48-49
After Saul's anointing Benjamin also not included in the census: But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king’s command was repulsive to him - 1 Chronicles 21:6
FULFILLMENT
Aaron lead Israelites for 40 years in the desert: And Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor at the command of the Lord and died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month - Numbers 33:38
Saul lead Israelites for 40 years: Then they asked for a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years - Acts 13:21
DEATH
Aaron's was foretold: And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom, “Let Aaron be gathered to his people, for he shall not enter the land that I have given to the people of Israel, because you rebelled against my command at the waters of Meribah. Take Aaron and Eleazar his son and bring them up to Mount Hor. And strip Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron shall be gathered to his people and shall die there.” Moses did as the Lord commanded. And they went up Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation. And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain. And when all the congregation saw that Aaron had perished, all the house of Israel wept for Aaron thirty days - Numbers 20:23-29
Saul's death also foretold, but not as an honorable way as Aaron: Then Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul answered, “I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do.” And Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since the Lord has turned from you and become your enemy? The Lord has done to you as he spoke by me, for the Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day. Moreover, the Lord will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me. The Lord will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines.” - 1 Samuel 28:15-19
Saul's Caption Anointing vs David's King Anointing
When we talk about Saul and David, the first question coming into our mind is "Did not God reject Saul from being a King?" Yes, Saul was rejected from being a King, but he was anointed to be a "Captain of Lords inheritance" which is entirely different than the "King of Israel".
For example, David was anointed to be King, but when the King Jesus Christ born in David family, Judah was not in power, but the anointing of David fulfilled in his family line.
Similarly what Saul has lost is just a worldly title, but the anointing he received continue working in his family line.
Saul lost their Kingdom
God spoke to Saul through prophet Samuel and warned about his mistakes and his kingdom, and finally he lost all the worldly blessing and Saul's grandson ended up eating in David's table.
Saul rejected from being king - And Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you. For you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.” - 1 Samuel 15:26
Saul killed Priests - Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod - 1 Samuel 22:18
Saul's grandson ended up eating at David's table - Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so will your servant do.” So Mephibosheth ate at David's table, like one of the king's sons- 2 Samuel 9:11
Judah lost their Kingdom
But the same thing happened in King David family also, God continually warned Kings of Judah through different prophet and warned about their disobedient act, finally they lost their kingdom to King Nebuchadnezzar and exiled into Babylon and Jehoiachin King of Judah ended up eating in Babylon king's table.
Nothing shall be left - Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord: Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left, says the Lord. And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” - 2 Kings 20:16-18
Killing of Priests - Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God, ‘Why do you break the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’” But they conspired against him, and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the Lord. Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah's father, had shown him, but killed his son. And when he was dying, he said, “May the Lord see and avenge!” - 2 Chronicles 24:20-22
Jehoiachin ended up eating in Babylon king's table - And in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, graciously freed Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison. And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon. So Jehoiachin put off his prison garments. And every day of his life he dined regularly at the king's table, 30 and for his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, according to his daily needs, as long as he lived - 2 Kings 25:27-30
Here Jehoiachin was in the prison, but God remembered King David's kind act towards Saul's grandson Mephibosheth, and made king of Babylon to show the same kindness to King of Judah Jehoiachin.
Anointing kept Saul's family line alive
Saul's son Jonathan: When entire army of Israel searching for David, one-man Jonathan longing for David's kingdom to be established - David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life. David was in the wilderness of Ziph at Horesh. And Jonathan, Saul's son, rose and went to David at Horesh, and strengthened his hand in God. And he said to him, “Do not fear, for the hand of Saul my father shall not find you. You shall be king over Israel, and I shall be next to you. Saul my father also knows this.” And the two of them made a covenant before the Lord. David remained at Horesh, and Jonathan went home - 1 Samuel 23:15-18
Saul's grandson Miphiboseth: And then the anointing reflected in his Jonathan's son Mephibosheth's life, when the entire army of Israel searching for David under the influence of Absalom, the lame man Mephibosheth longing for David and his kingdom to be established - And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king. He had neither taken care of his feet nor trimmed his beard nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came back in safety - 2 Samuel 19:24
Saul's great grandson Mica: King Saul had a fear that his offspring may not survive, but God protected the lame Mephibosheth, and again the generation started budding through Mephibosheth's son Mica - And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all who lived in Ziba's house became Mephibosheth's servants - 2 Samuel 9:12
Family Increased from one lame Mica to 150 mighty warriors: Ner begot Kish, Kish begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal. The son of Jonathan was Merib-Baal(Mephibosheth), and Merib-Baal begot Micah. The sons of Micah were Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz. And Ahaz begot Jehoaddah; Jehoaddah begot Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begot Moza. Moza begot Binea, Raphah his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son. Azel had six sons whose names were these: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel. And the sons of Eshek his brother were Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third. The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor—archers. They had many sons and grandsons, one hundred and fifty in all. These were all sons of Benjamin. - 1 Chronicles 8:33-40
Then the family honor restored through Mordecai and Esther: According to Book of Esther, Kish family also taken into captive by Nebuchadnezzar (King Saul is the only son for Kish), and Mordecai and Esther both are from the Kish family, so the bible has the proof that Saul's family survived even at the time of exile - In Shushan the citadel there was a certain Jew whose name was Mordecai the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite. Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives who had been captured with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter - Esther 2:5-7
Fulfillment of Saul's Anointing
Caiaphas the one who handed over Jesus Christ to be Crucified is from Aaron's family, now we need to find out the "Caption of Lord's Inheritance" and the person who fulfilled the Saul's anointing.
By Family Name: From the conversation between Elizabeth and her neighbors, we can understand that Israelites had a culture to maintain their family name - On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, but his mother spoke up and said, No! He is to be called John. They said to her, There is no one among your relatives who has that name - Luke 1:59-61.
So, by name of the person also we can identify his family line, and its pointing to Apostle Paul whose original name was Saul - But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem - Acts 9:1-2
By Tribe: When none of the Apostles spoke about their tribe, God allowed apostle Paul to mention his tribe, is it not for us to understand the plan that God had on Benjamin - I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. - Romans 11:1
Wait until offering taken place: In Exodus we can see that young men of Israelites offered both burnt offerings and peace offerings to the Lord, then why Saul's offering became a disobedient act? What is the truth behind this commandment? And Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. He rose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel. And he sent young men of the people of Israel, who offered burnt offerings and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen to the Lord - Exodus 24:4-5
If you agree that these offerings are referring to Christ crucifixion, then the expectation of this unique commandment is, Saul must wait until the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ - Then go down before me to Gilgal. And behold, I am coming down to you to offer burnt offerings and to sacrifice peace offerings. Seven days you shall wait, until I come to you and show you what you shall do - 1 Samuel 10:8
Why Saul when so many testimonies are present? There were hundreds of testimonies healed by Jesus Christ Like Lazarus, Daughter of Jairus, Son of Nain's window, blind Bartimaeus etc. why God choose Apostle Paul for his Ministry? The answer is God's anointing.
Prophecy #1: Most of clues about the God's chosen commander is hard to accept, but we cannot ignore the prophecy spoken by Samuel - When you depart from me today, you will meet two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah - 1 Samuel 10:2a
And King Saul experienced only signs, not the actual fulfillment - When he turned his back to leave Samuel, God gave him another heart. And all these signs came to pass that day - 1 Samuel 10:9
We cannot take this prophecy as it is, because Rachel's tomb is in territory of Judah (Bethlehem), and the actual meaning of this prophecy is => After your time, your Son will have an encounter by a person who came out from the tomb, and the two men refers to Jesus Christ - I and the Father are one - John 10:30
Prophecy #2: Saul will be encountered with prophet of high place who would prophecy by harp and others - After that you shall come to Gibeath-elohim, where there is a garrison of the Philistines. And there, as soon as you come to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying - 1 Samuel 10:5
Fulfilment - When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John to assist them. When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they came upon a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet named Bar-Jesus. He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of intelligence, who summoned Barnabas and Saul and sought to hear the word of God. But Elymas the magician (for that is the meaning of his name) opposed them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith - Acts 13:5-8
Prophecy #3: The prophecy tells that, Saul also will receive new name (like Peter and John) - Then the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. 1 Samuel 10:6
Fulfilment - Acts 13 starts like this, and Saul was considered as a last person in that list - Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a lifelong friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them - Acts 13:1-2
But, Right after the fulfilment of Holy Spirit, the same Saul became Paul, and everyone became his companion - But Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind and unable to see the sun for a time.” Immediately mist and darkness fell upon him, and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand. Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had occurred, for he was astonished at the teaching of the Lord. Now Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. And John left them and returned to Jerusalem - Acts 13:9-13
And finally, it got fulfilled, when "Saul of Tarsus" met by Jesus Christ and converted to Apostle Paul, basically converted from Ben-oni [son of my grief] to Benjamin [son of the right hand].
Additional info from Samuel's Prophesy
We analyzed only part of the Samuel's prophecies as we mainly focused on Apostle Paul's encounter with Jesus Christ, and now will analyze some of the key words in Samuel's prophecies.
Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on his head and kissed him and said, “Has not the Lord anointed you to be prince over his people Israel? And you shall reign over the people of the Lord and you will save them from the hand of their surrounding enemies. And this shall be the sign to you that the Lord has anointed you to be prince over his heritage. When you depart from me today, you will meet two men by Rachel's tomb in the territory of Benjamin at Zelzah, and they will say to you, ‘The donkeys that you went to seek are found, and now your father has ceased to care about the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, “What shall I do about my son?”’ Then you shall go on from there farther and come to the oak of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there, one carrying three young goats, another carrying three loaves of bread, and another carrying a skin of wine. And they will greet you and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall accept from their hand. After that you shall come to Gibeath-elohim, where there is a garrison of the Philistines. And there, as soon as you come to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying. Then the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. Now when these signs meet you, do what your hand finds to do, for God is with you- 1 Samuel 10:1-7
Before that will see how Prophet Isaiah interprets God's word - Moreover the Lord said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz - Isaiah 8:1
But Prophet Isaiah did reflects his gift of interpretation - And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the Lord to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz - Isaiah 8:3
He could translate "great roll" as "prophetess", and "write in it with a man's pen" as "human reproductive act", so its very important that we understand the key words that Samuel used in this prophecies based on Bible references.
Missing Donkeys?
Samuel already told to Saul that tomorrow I will reveal the truth and "do not set your mind on Donkeys", which clearly tells that Samuel is not talking about Donkeys - Samuel answered Saul, “I am the seer. Go up before me to the high place, for today you shall eat with me, and in the morning I will let you go and will tell you all that is on your mind. As for your donkeys that were lost three days ago, do not set your mind on them, for they have been found. And for whom is all that is desirable in Israel? Is it not for you and for all your father's house?” - 1 Samuel 9:19-20
Bible always refers the lost as donkey, that they will be redeemed by Lamb of God Jesus Christ - Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb, or if you will not redeem it you shall break its neck - Exodus 13:13
Who is their father?
This may appear as Samul is talking about Saul earthly father Kish - now your father has ceased to care about the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, What shall I do about my son? - 1 Samuel 10:2b
But below versus are confirming that the word "Father" is not referring Saul's earthly father, but our heavenly father who made him to prophecy - When they came to Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them. And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another, “What has come over the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?” And a man of the place answered, “And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, “Is Saul also among the prophets?” - 1 Samuel 10:10-12
“What shall I do about my son?” this reflects the heart of our heavenly father, that we all need to work for Son Jesus Christ's kingdom - But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.” - Acts 9:15-16
Three Men?
When Jacob came to Haran, he had an encountered with few men and called them as "My brothers", but it's hard to tell how many were there actually? But Bible says that there were "three flocks of sheep lying beside it" which indirectly tells that Jacob had an encounter with three men (three shepherds) - Then Jacob went on his journey and came to the land of the people of the east. As he looked, he saw a well in the field, and behold, three flocks of sheep lying beside it, for out of that well the flocks were watered. The stone on the well's mouth was large, and when all the flocks were gathered there, the shepherds would roll the stone from the mouth of the well and water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place over the mouth of the well - Genesis 29:1-3
So its not just Abraham, Jacob also had an encounter with three Men, Like that Saul also received the promise of heavenly encounter.
Conclusion
So, the Paul the Benjaminite is not an accident, God anointed King Saul with the greater purpose - Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying, “Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander over My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines; for I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come to Me.” So when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him, “There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.” - 1 Samuel 9:15-17
As promised when the offering was taken place at Golgotha, Saul had received his ministry calling - But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’ - Acts 26:16-18
So, If Paul's letters are from men, these letters would have not survived for 2000 years, so don’t be a person who is opposing God Almighty - So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God! So they took his advice - Acts 5:38-39
Can we ignore Paul's letter?
God has revealed some important information to Moses about Jesus Christ - And when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself in a book a copy of this law, approved by the Levitical priests - Deuteronomy 17:18
But no Levites had approved any books but Paul the Benjaminite - Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well - Hebrews 7:11-12
And these approved laws are so critical for us guard our heart and soul - But the Levites shall camp around the tabernacle of the testimony, so that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the people of Israel. And the Levites shall keep guard over the tabernacle of the testimony - Numbers 1:53
