Isaac's Explanation
Apostle John who was with Christ until his last moment of the crucifixion, has revealed that Jesus Christ is not the image of Word alone, but the Image of Father, Word and the Holy Spirit, and we must believe in him to overcome this world - 5.Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6.This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth - 1 John 5:5-6
To understand this in a better way, apostle John first explaining the Trinity of our Heavenly Father as Father, Word and Holy Spirit - because there are three who are testifying in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one - 1 John 5:7
And then he explained about the Son Jesus Christ, that Jesus had all three of them(Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit) in him - and there are three who are testifying in the earth: the Spirit(Holy Spirit), and the water(Word), and the blood(Father) and the three are into the one(Jesus Christ) - 1 John 5:8
That was the reason Apostle Paul is saying that Jesus Christ is the Image of the invisible God - The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation - Colossians 1:15 that means in Jesus Christ we can see the Son (The Word became flesh - John 1:14), and our Heavenly Father (Whoever has seen me has seen the Father - John 14:9), and the Holy Spirit (The Spirit of the Lord is upon me - Luke 4:18).
Isaac's Explanation
Bible tells that Isaac dug three wells - 17.So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there. 18.And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them - Genesis 26:17-18
Well #1: But when Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of spring water, the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him - Genesis 26:19-20
Well #2: Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that also, so he called its name Sitnah - Genesis 26:21
Well #3: And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, saying, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” - Genesis 26:22
When Isaac had lost three of his wells, God has given him Beersheba which means well of oaths - 23.From there he went up to Beersheba. 24.And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham's sake. 25.So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the Lord and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac's servants dug a well - Genesis 26:23-25
God already promised to Abraham, that He will make a covenant with Isaac - But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year - Genesis 17:21
And at Beersheba three men came to Isaac and made a Covenant him, and one of the persons Ahuzzath is not mentioned any where in the Bible that we need to keep it in our mind - 26.Then Abimelech came to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phichol the commander of his army. 27.And Isaac said to them, Why have you come to me, since you hate me and have sent me away from you? 28.But they said, We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said, Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you - Genesis 26:26-28
there conversation are translated based on Isaac's experience with Abimelech, but actually they were talking about the covenant where the Lamb of God was given instead of Isaac at Mount Moriah - 29.that you will do us no harm, since we have not touched you, and since we have done nothing to you but good and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed of the Lord. 30.So he made them a feast, and they ate and drank. 31.Then they arose early in the morning and swore an oath with one another; and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace - Genesis 26:29-31
And right after the covenant, the well started spring the water (Jesus Christ) where he spent rest of his life - 32.It came to pass the same day that Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, “We have found water.” 33.So he called it Shebah. Therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day - Genesis 26:32-33
Isaac named the well as Shebah (Seven or Oath) which represents the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ - Who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands - Rev 2:1 & He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars - Rev 3:1
