Jesus Christ
The Image of Trinity God (Father, Word, and the Holy Spirit)
The Image of Trinity God (Father, Word, and the Holy Spirit)
How Christians alone has the knowledge about the Trinity of our Heavenly God? Its because of our Lord Jesus Christ, the one who came down from heaven, has reveled the truth about our Heavenly Father - 18.Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19.Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20.teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age - Matthew 28:18-20
But the common understanding about Jesus Christ is that he is the second person in the Trinity God, which leads into below questions...
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, How can he be called as a firstborn? - when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, Let all God’s angels worship him - Hebrews 1:6
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, How we can he be the begotten one? - You are my Son; today I have begotten you - Psalms 2:7
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, How can he be compared with human beings? - For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father - Hebrews 2:11a
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, when Christ was in the earth only Father and Holy Spirit were in the Heaven? But Bible says that when Christ was in the Earth, he was in heaven as well - No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven - John 3:13
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, He can be the Image of the second person(word), but Bible says that he is the Image of God, How its possible? - He(Jesus Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation - Colossians 1:15
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, Its like one person telling to the another that we will stay here, and you go and suffer for the world, How can we take this? - And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen - John 5:37
If Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity God, Why one person has to pray another for life? - He asked life of you; you gave it to him, length of days forever and ever - Psalm 21:4
The Bible has so much wonderful and amazing explanations for these questions, that will only exalt the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, will see them one by one, May the name of the Lord Jesus Christ alone be glorified in this writings.
Apostle John about the Trinity
Apostle John who was with Christ until his last moment of the crucifixion, has revealed that Jesus Christ is not the image of Word alone, but the Image of Father, Word and the Holy Spirit, and we must believe in him to overcome this world - 5.Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 6.This is the one who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth - 1 John 5:5-6
To understand this in a better way, apostle John first explaining the Trinity of our Heavenly Father as Father, Word and Holy Spirit - because there are three who are testifying in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one - 1 John 5:7
And then he explained about the Son Jesus Christ, that Jesus had all three of them(Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit) in him - and there are three who are testifying in the earth: the Spirit(Holy Spirit), and the water(Word), and the blood(Father) and the three are into the one(Jesus Christ) - 1 John 5:8
That means in Jesus Christ, we can see Father, Word(Son) and the Holy Spirit, that was the reason Bible says Jesus Christ is the image of invisible God(Father, Word and the Holy Spirit). Apostle John who saw the final moment of Christ crucifixion also witnessed the Spirit, Blood and Water - 30.So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. 31.Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32.Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33.ut when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34.But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35.And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe - John 19:30-35
And in another place, Apostle John has mentioned Son Jesus Christ as Word(Son) with full of Grace(Father) and Truth(Holy Spirit) - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of Grace and Truth - John 1:14
Apostle Peter about the trinity of Jesus Christ
Peter, John and James saw the transfiguration of Lord Jesus Christ, and they thought they are seeing Jesus with Moses and Elijah - 1.And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James, and John his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2.And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light. 3.And behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. 4.And Peter said to Jesus, Lord, it is good that we are here. If you wish, I will make three tents here, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah - Matthew 17:1-4
But when heavenly Father acknowledged, He did not say that this is my son Jesus standing with Moses and Elijah, instead he said this is my beloved Son, so in the transfiguration what disciples saw was the Trinity of Jesus Christ, The Word with Moses(Father) and Elijah(Holy Spirit) -5.He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him. 6.When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. 7.But Jesus came and touched them, saying, Rise, and have no fear. 8.And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. 9.And as they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them, “Tell no one the vision, until the Son of Man is raised from the dead - Matthew 17:1-9
If its really Moses and Elijah, why Jesus asked them not to tell the truth until his resurrection? and when Peter wrote about the Mount of Transfiguration experience, he did not mentioned either Moses or Elijah, but Jesus Christ with his Honor and Glory, as an Image of Trinity God - 16.For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17.For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased, 18.we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain - 2 Peter 1:16-18
So what happened at the Mount of Transfiguration is same as what happened at oaks of Mamre where Abraham saw the Lord Jesus Christ as Three Person - 1.And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. 2.He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth - Genesis 18:1-2
And after the resurrection, Jesus Christ commanded his disciples to Baptize in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit - Matthew 28:19
But the Peter who knows the Truth, Baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to tell the world that Jesus Christ is Father, Son and the Holy Spirit - And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit - Acts 2:38 & And he(Peter) commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ - Acts 10:48a
And in another place, Apostle Peter has mentioned Son Jesus of Nazareth with Holy Spirit and Father(Power) - how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with Power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him - Acts 10:38
Why this Truth is so critical?
Because when Christ was crucified, our Heavenly Father, Word(Son) and the Holy Spirit all three of them suffered for our Salvation, so lets understand the love of God, and live a life that would please our Savior Jesus Christ.
In this world, most of them heard about Jesus Christ, and some see him as a historical person, and some see him a prophet, but only those who accepts him as a Savior gets saved from the eternal hell and their life also gets changed, If our life could change when we see Christ as a one of the persons in the Trinity God, how much more our life will be impacted when we understand the truth and see him as a Trinity God(Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit).
As a Father
Christ told clearly that no one can come to him unless the Father draws him - No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day - John 6:44
And it was fulfilled in the Cross, as Father also with Christ in his suffering - And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself - John 12:32
As a Holy Spirit
The Bible says, before Crucifixion Jesus Christ was filled with the Holy Spirit and the Ministry - And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and a report about him went out through all the surrounding country - Luke 4:14
And after the Crucifixion also, Jesus Christ was with the Holy Spirit, that means the Holy Spirit was with Christ in the Crucifixion as well and experianced all the suffering for our salvation - 1.In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2.until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3.He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God - Acts 1:1-3
