Her Seed

In this world, the word "seed" is always referring the genealogy of the men, and not of woman, for example, Isaac and Ishmael are called as a seed of Abraham - 12.But God said to Abraham, Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called. 13.Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he(Ishmael) is your seed - Genesis 21:12-13

Moab and Ammon are called as a seed of Lot - 30.And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. 31.And the first-born said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: 32.come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. 33.And they made their father drink wine that night: and the first-born went in, and lay with her father; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 34.And it came to pass on the morrow, that the first-born said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. 35.And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he knew not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 36.Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. 37.And the first-born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. 38.And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Ben-ammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day - Genesis 19:30-38

That was the reason, Eli said "May the Lord give you(Elkanah) seed by this woman(Hannah)" - 20.Then Eli would bless Elkanah and his wife, and say, “May the Lord give you seed by this woman for the petition she asked of the Lord.” So then they would return to their home. 21.Indeed the Lord visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew in the presence of the Lord - 1 Samuel 2:20-21

When the people blessed Boaz, they also said, may the Lord give you the seed through Ruth - 9.And Boaz said to the elders and all the people, You are witnesses this day that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi. 10.Moreover, Ruth the Moabitess, the widow of Mahlon, I have acquired as my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead through his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brethren and from his position at the gate. You are witnesses this day. 11.And all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman who is coming to your house like Rachel and Leah, the two who built the house of Israel; and may you prosper in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. 12.May your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, because of the seed which the Lord will give you from this young woman - Ruth 4:9-12

Like that, the word "seed" is always used for referring the genealogy of the men, but only once in the Bible, its mentioned as "Her seed", that means the seed is not the seed of men, but the Seed of Holy God, that is our Lord Jesus Christ - 11.And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” 12.Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” 13.And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” 14.So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. 15.And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. 16.To the woman He said: I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you - Genesis 3:15-16
