Why Jesus Christ said - Are there not twelve hours in the day?

When disciples tried to stop Jesus from going to Lazarus village, He asked this question - "Are there not twelve hours in the day?"

Then after this he said to the disciples, Let us go to Judea again. The disciples said to him, Rabbi, the Jews were just now seeking to stone you, and are you going there again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him - John 11:7-10

And in the previous chapter of John confirmed that Christ was beyond the Jordan river when he spoke this words - Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands. He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained - John 10:39-40

So walking from beyond the Jordan area to Bethany may take 12 hours also.

But the parable "Are there not twelve hours in the day?" also tells exactly which day Christ asked this question.

And only few days in Israel, the day length is exactly 12 hours, that is just before the Passover day, even today sometime in march the day hours is 12 hours - Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover to purify themselves - John 11:55

So the one who created day and night knew the length of the day and said - "Are there not twelve hours in the day?"

Trust Jesus Christ, He is coming again.
