Matthew never would have expected that his writings will be the first book in the Bible, and from his writing we can learn something interesting about Matthew. definitely Matthew was not the one of the three closest disciples of Jesus Christ, and he would have been denied to be with Lord in many critical occasions, But Matthew wrote all those occasions with out allowing any jealous act on Peter, James and John.

And Matthew also displayed his spiritual gifts of discerning the Spirits (1 Corinthians 12:10), and he could see clearly who operates that individual, and used to mentioned as two persons (the individual and the spirit).

for example, When Mark and Luke wrote about the demon-possessed men who came from the tombs of Gerasenes and the Spirit that operated him.

They came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. And when Jesus had stepped out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit. He lived among the tombs. And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain - Mark 5:1-3

Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. When Jesus had stepped out on land, there met him a man from the city who had demons. For a long time he had worn no clothes, and he had not lived in a house but among the tombs - Luke 8:26-27

But Matthew mentioned as two demon-possessed men, And Its world known truth that no two demon-possessed men work to-gather, so when Matthew mentioned as two demon-possessed men, we can understand that mark is talking about the Individual and the Spirit - And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” Now a herd of many pigs was feeding at some distance from them. And the demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs.” And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters. The herdsmen fled, and going into the city they told everything, especially what had happened to the demon-possessed men. And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region - Matthew 8:28-34

And in another incidents, Mark and Luke wrote about the Blind Bartimaeus.

And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” - Mark 10:46-47

As he drew near to Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. And hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what this meant. They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” And he cried out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” - Luke 18:35-38

But Matthew mentioned as two Blind men, And it was so amazing to see that Blind man calling Jesus Christ as "Son of David", what the blind heard just the name of the Lord, but he called the Lord as "Son of David", Who taught the Genealogy of Jesus Christ to Him? from that we can understand of the God's move on Bartimaeus - And as they went out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him. And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!” And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?” They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.” And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him - Matthew 20:29-34

And in another incident also Matthew has mentioned as two blind men who followed the Lord all the way to his home, And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about it.” But they went away and spread his fame through all that district - Matthew 9:27-31
